Better work starts with seeing the work clearly
Eave helps small and growing businesses understand how work really happens, not just how it is supposed to happen.
We look closely at one workflow at a time, comparing the intended process with the everyday experience of the people carrying it out.
The result is a clearer view of what is slowing work down, creating unnecessary effort or leaving important knowledge trapped in people’s heads, followed by practical recommendations your business can realistically implement.
Our StoryMost operational problems do not begin with people being careless, resistant or disorganised.
They begin in the gaps between teams, responsibilities, systems and decisions.
A process might look sensible from leadership’s perspective while relying on staff to chase missing information, repeat manual tasks or quietly correct the same problems every week.
A team may appear slow when unclear requests are reaching them before key decisions have been made.
A new tool may be introduced to improve efficiency, while the people using it create separate trackers because it does not support the way the work actually happens.
These issues are difficult to see when you are inside the business and moving quickly.
Eave was created to make them visible.
Meet Emma
I’m Emma, the founder of Eave.
Before starting Eave, I spent years working inside small and growing businesses across operations, accounts, ecommerce, software development, product delivery and team leadership.
My career did not follow a neat, predetermined route.
I began in administration and gradually took responsibility for more of the systems, processes and commercial activity around me. Working across so many areas gave me an unusually broad understanding of how businesses operate, and how closely their people, processes and decisions are connected.
That work has been recognised through the Greenbook 2025 Future List, which celebrates emerging leaders in the global insights industry. I was also a Future Talent of the Year finalist at both the 2025 Brighton & Hove Business Awards and the 2024 Sussex Business Awards.
Throughout my career, I’ve often worked closely with directors while also being someone the wider team felt able to speak honestly with. That placed me between two very different perspectives: the pressures and intentions behind leadership decisions, and the day-to-day reality of putting them into practice.
I’ve seen how dramatically those perspectives can differ. I’ve also experienced first-hand how frustrating it can be when valuable feedback from the people doing the work is raised repeatedly but never translated into meaningful change.
Eave grew from wanting to close that gap - turning honest staff insight into practical changes that leadership can understand, prioritise and act on.
Again and again, I found myself doing the same underlying thing:
Understanding how the work fitted together, finding where it was breaking down and creating a more practical way forward.
Eave grew from that experience: turning honest staff insight into practical changes that leadership can understand, prioritise and act on.
